“Hmm hmm hmm.” the angel Whis hums to himself, walking to his charge's room. Despite the brightness outside, the tiny windows on the sides of the great tree barely let in any light, leaving the path up to the God of Destruction's private bedchamber bathed in shadows. Slowly he ascends the steps, walking up the purple crystal-strewn path to Lord Beerus's room, thoughts of that one Saiyan that has . But the angel's thoughts are interrupted as he hears a crash from above in the God of Destruction's room. He doesn't sense anyone or anything above but the Destroyer himself, raising the angel's guard. Something's going on, something that can't be good.
Without dawdling, Whis rushes up the last couple flights of stairs, entering the Destroyer's room to see that, shockingly, Beerus is seemingly awake! Whis watches, mouth agape as the Destroyer yawns, sitting on the ground beneath his bed.
“Mrrrhmmmmrr.” Beerus the Destroyer mutters, licking the back of his hand idly before scratching his face with his forearm.
“Well, look whose awake.” Whis asks, unsure if the Destroyer is truly awake or just sleepwalking. “You're up.... Surprisingly early. Is everything okay, my lord?”
“Couldn't sleep... Dreams...” the Destroyer God mutters, still rubbing his face. Whis sighs out, then speaks up.
“Well, now that you are awake, I do have a bath drawn for you, my lord.” the angel says, his voice not betraying that he'd drawn that bath for himself. “So go on, before it gets cold.”
“Mrhrrm, I do hate baths.” the god says, scratching his left ear with his back foot like a common house pet, not displaying the dignity of his role in the slightest while it is just the two of you around. “Maybe I just won't bathe?”
“Then the people will say, 'Oh that Lord Beerus, sure he's strong but he sure does smell'.” Whis says, holding his nose and turning his head to make his point without raising his voice. “They'll call you Lord Beerus the Destroyer of Noses, on account of the awful permeating stench.”
“Tch, fiiiiiine. Fine, I'll go.” the God of Destruction complains, rising up to his feet in a slouch. Whis turns, the Destroyer following the angel drowsily down the large staircase to the bath below. The angel leads Beerus the Destroyer to the bath, waiting outside until the god undresses and is mostly submerged in the water, calling his assistant in.
