“Mechikabura fears that the Supreme Kai of Time will, to make this timeline play out like the previous reality he's from, send someone to ensure we all perish, blaming him so Karn joins the Time Patrol's side for revenge.” the man you'd sensed whose ki is your own says, everyone turning to him. “So, to make sure that doesn't happen, Mechikabura has set up certain defenses. And that is why I'm here as well.”
“Hold on. I thought you couldn't stay in any one timeline for long?” you'd asked that potential future self, brows furrowed. “If you stay here for too long, won't you-?”
“No, it'll be fine. Once Mechikabura regains his youth and power, he'll have the strength to fix me. Should no one try and attack us.” future you says, his eyes lingering on your wife and children a moment before sighing out, closing his eyes. “And if he's right about the hit squad coming here and I die defending you all, he'll use the Time Patrol's Dragonballs to revive me there. So I have nothing to lose.”
“Don't say that Daddy!” Meloka Wolbach says, clearly recognizing his ki as your own from your lessons with her, flying over to him and holding his face. “You're not MY Daddy, but you're still Daddy! So that means you can't lose! Got it?”
You saw his eye widen in shock, jaw hanging a bit as she stares into his eye and empty socket.
“Promise me! That you're gonna win if the bad guys show up!” she demands, voice shaky as she clearly didn't like the thought of him ever losing. She'd become so emotional that she even transformed, golden aura blazing as she stares him in the eye.
“I promise I'll do everything I can do to win. To protect you all.” he tells her, ruffling her hair with his hand that has real skin on it and isn't a skeleton. Which is why he'd gathered you all here, to reassure her as well as keep everyone together in one place. Where he's still effortlessly dodging Future Chaya's attacks and making it look easy. But she's had enough, flashing up to her Primal form with a snarl.
“Dodge me now, asshole!” she spits, but before she can attack suddenly you sense three powerlevels appearing. Everyone else senses them too, your entire family powering up in anticipation. But then the demon Fu appears through the portal, your sister Chaya beside him holding an unconscious Karn Jr in her arms. “Fu?”
“You two did great.” Fu tells her, then without saying another word to anyone slashes open another portal, hopping through. But, just for a moment while his portal's open, you sense your father's ki. And dozens of other Saiyans all radiating with his same power, just like Broly and Okira do when transforming into Berserkers too.
