“Gillot!” Lucian shouted as he stopped the advance in quick order, “Monster!”
There was a distinct clink of metal as to tell Lucian that his fellow was looking at it. A subtle curse was quickly given by the Knight as he prepared himself, “Lady damn them!”
The two warriors found that even though the monster was coming that the others were not stopping. Lucian felt two impacts from blades across his shoulder, the Knight quickly flailing his arms across to smack the two warriors away. He then had to defend against three others who were coming at him with a hammer, spear, and sword!
A decision was made quickly, Lucian slammed his scythe into the spear that was coming dangerously close at the same moment the hammer smacked him in the hip. A force that would have shattered a mortal’s hip caused pain to rupture through Lucian did not break. He felt, as the odds were going against him, a burning fury of power flushing his muscles. He looked upon the sword once again aimed for his visor and the Knight suddenly had the ability to dodge the attack instantly. His body going to the left while carrying the scythe on his right in a trail.
With one hand Lucian slammed the weapon into the undead. His control not lost as he made sure to go through the necks or knees of these great warriors. The Dwarf outright killed, Lucian’s scythe quickly went through the necks of the humans with a return strike while they were upon the ground.
Lucian had to be quick on his feet, the Knight turning to face the creature that was charging them with all his heart. He was surprise to find that Gillot, the Knight bearing the blue and gold heraldry of his homeland, standing next to him with the sword in hand.
In that moment the Ducal Prince glanced at him, taking in the full understanding of the situation they found themselves within. Here they were supposed enemies yet the terrors of humanity brought them both together. Such was a great many tales that Lucian had heard time before even as a Peasant, events like when Bretonnia and the Empire would join forces to fight against the Raiders of the North.
The Grave Guard who were in front of them did not stop their advance, but within seconds they were all crushed under the mighty weight of the massive beast that was meant to tear down the mighty gates of the Dwarfs. Perhaps instead of being stupid and foolish, these men simply had a deathwish to not remain undead like they were.
