>>5746721Is the orbital defence weapons and ship dockyard / fabrication etc, the system view of planets and ships looks like this, it is a fully rotating manoeuvrable 3d visual you can set ship heights, even flip the map upside down etc (I don't think even many modern 4x games let you do this!) The AI humiliated me because I fortified all the war front important gate node systems, I stacked orbital armaments I anticipated a massive 3-4 ship incoming bombardment, instead it must have built some cheap small class ship with heavy shields and just 1 invader module, to RUN PAST all the planets hiding in between turns and eventually penetrating deep behind the lines into some unguarded remote colony causing me to lose an entire circuit of sectors argh argh.
