TalOS was now walking into what he quickly identified as a workshop of some kind. His eyes marked out a series of tools and engineering replicas from projects that are currently in construction. Plastered about the place in easily understood logic were diagrams of ongoing projects.
Some of these were battle plans, others were schematics for buildings. TalOS glanced over to see entire shelves filled with rolled up parchment that likely contained both finished and future projects of Rogal’s.
Examining the contents of these pictures TalOS knew for sure that this man was the Father of the Imperial Fists. It could be called uncanny how close they are to their genesire when it comes to interests. TalOS wondered if that was caused due to their geneseed, or the mind of Rogal Dorn being so put together that it psychically pressured his sons to operate similarly.
Rogal was swift in his movements now as he was filled with determination. There was no reason to second guess what he was about to do and follow through with his decision so that there was no errors. In doing so he swiftly approached a chest and released a series of levers and locks that those not in the Priesthood would not understand. After these the lock box before them unlocked itself and Rogal took out a small container which was handed to TalOS.
The Tech Priest that was TalOS did not look at the contents but the box that they were held in first. The box was actually a resin-like cube that sealed off the item from the outside while also suspending it in the middle of the container. There were no signs of suspension wiring, which a quick ping of the room revealed a suspension device that was hidden within the workshop.
Rogal Dorn had been telling the truth when he told TalOS that he was true. He had been recently working on permeating his project so that it would last millenia.
“That is from a beast that I cared for on Inwit by the name of Mecarn. It was the largest Lorn that my Grandfather acquired for me, and to my Grandfather’s recommendation I made it as a memento of its life. It is how I started scrimshawing, as I wanted to make sure my skill was adequate for the task at hand. The material it is encased in was a boon I got from the Fabricator General as I noticed the bone itself was degrading.” The last part Dorn mentioned, likely because he noticed TalOS was examining more than the bone itself.
As he said TalOS looked over the bone itself and felt awe. It was not a simple picture but instead taking advantage of the bone itself for art. Everything was covered with what TalOS realized to be memories of events Dorn experienced with the beast within his hand. Of numerous explorations and even battles the two had taken apart in, carved into bone.
It was beautiful.
