You sit back quietly and wave for Jaws to get you a milkbox because this is promising to be interesting.
"You may be aware of a little thing known as haki, with its different colors and such. Well one of them is the color of the supreme king, or Conquerors Haki for short."
"Yeah yeah, my brother has it. One in a million. Get on with it!"
"Right. Well out of that one in a million only a tiny fraction of people ever learn how to really use it. They learn how to imbue their weapons and fists with the might to conquer entire nations."
Kaidos draconic eyes then shift to you as he gets deadly serious.
"But in my entire life I've only ever met one man who mastered it. Well. Two now. One is that dumbass fool husband of yours sipping his milk. The other was me and your moms former captain, Rocks."
"Bullshit. Mama never ever said anything like that!"
"Well, Linlin never liked admitting someone was above her in the food chain. And Rocks certainly was beyond both of our reach. Sometimes I still remember him beating my ass. Only real difference between me and Linlin was that Rocks was above her in bed too. But I digress."
Kaido cracks his neck as he tries to recall things.
"Truth be told I'm not good at all this egghead stuff so I never understood it completely. I only got whatever Rocks mumbled about when he was thinking. But basically he learned how to harness a Supreme Kings power beyond simply smacking someone with it. And believe me, that's something. Even I had trouble learning how to use it this much. And I bet your punk brother has no idea about it. But Rocks did. He noticed how when he released completely and for long enough times things broke around him, ships cracked, people bled, and so on. He focused on that and honed it to a razors edge. How? I have no clue. Believe me I tried to copy him. But it looked as if he could just... command the world to behave a certain way. And it did. Armies and fleets broke before him, islands sunk under the sea and the heavens themselves obeyed his every whim. He could skip mountains on the sea like pebbles. It was surreal."
He then points at you.
"And when he used it his haki looked exactly like his arm."
Nutmeg looks at you questioning Kaidos words but you simply shrug.
"It checks out."
"Don't give me those looks girly. We fought at the bottom of the sea where the water didn't dare to fall on us because it didn't dare to intrude on his will."
"But... that's impossible."
"No. Once you realize two truths of this world it becomes quite obvious that it's very much possible. First, everything has Haki, or willpower. Every form of life from bugs, to fish, to people have a guiding will. The will to survive. The will to prosper and more. We can even learn to harness it to achieve things normally thought impossible. You have it, I have it, we all have it. The other is that even things that don't live have a will. A voice. What happens if you can command a thing, anything, what to do?"
