Speciesim is a foreign concept to them, as they consider members of other races in their pirate crews as fellow Ebruchi.>Ssi-ruu – a reptilian race with strange castes and customs, striking from the edge of the galaxy into the Unknown Regions in order to take resources and expand their territory.>Tof – a humanoid species of conquerors and slavers originating from the Firefist Sector, they have carved themselves portions of the northeastern Unknown Regions as their own little principality.>Vagaari – a nomadic species with their core territory south of Chiss space, their empire is built on the suffering, exploitation (and sometimes extermination) of all who are not Vagaari.>>Respectively, each of them have their own tactics:>Ebruchi – rely on ships no larger than frigates in small groups rather than fleets, favoring speed, maneuverability and ‘death by a thousand cuts’ over staying power.>Ssi-ruu – opportunistic hit-and-run raiders that rely on swarms of droid fighters and ion cannons to tie up their enemies’ guns and disable their ships.>Tof – extensively favor using overwhelming firepower to intimidate their prey, closing the distance between ships to carry out shock assaults and boarding actions.>Vagaari – their ships’ hulls are lined with ‘living shields’ containing slaves and prisoners to deter enemies from firing on innocents. The victims’ screams are broadcast on all channels to demoralize their opponents. Their larger ships have mass shadow generators that can interdict a ship out of hyperspace.Of course, you aren’t about to immediately hop back into the Albatross and fly off-world. The next shipment of foodstuffs and medical supplies to Ulsind won’t be for another standard day. That leaves you with thirty hours for the Albatross to get a full victualing, as well as a thorough calibration of…well, everything.
The MSDF doesn’t have the facilities to perform extensive upgrades (yet), but getting the ship close to one-hundred precent functionality should hopefully be enough. In all candor, a boarding action would be more preferable, but you’re not aiming to take trophies or salvage. That comes secondary to getting the victims of Ulsind the supplies they desperately need.
Breaking the news to the crew of the Albatross isn’t difficult in the slightest. All of them, but especially Elba and Suzel, are raring to go and help. They'd been more than happy to go along with whatever missions you (the Jedi Triumvirate) had to accomplish, but this hits home for them. And hey, it certainly gives you some credit in helping them burn off any lingering resentment as former slaves of the Tof.
