TalOS’s mind returned to him, no longer was it surrendered to the Machine God. Within seconds he gained the understanding of what the Emperor wanted to avoid, and the cost of the summons that he has paid.
The Machine God walks against the Rangdan on the side of the Imperium. Thus will they succeed in the destruction of their foe.
However the question now was why the Machine God chose to show TalOS his meeting with the Emperor. The first was easily reasoned, that the Machine God wished for TalOS to understand that he and the Emperor are allies in supporting mankind. That the Technology was the gift of the Machine God to Humanity at the behest of the Emperor of Mankind. A deal happening in the first era of mankind.
TalOS felt that it was not the meaning he should gain from it. It was history for sure but it was not what the Machine God wanted him to know.
Maybe it was something in relation to his imprisonment? But if that was the case then the Machine God would have gifted TalOS knowledge of where to find him. Though TalOS had a good understanding that he could seek out the Aeldari for potential information it was not the reason it was given.
As TalOS pondered the possible meaning came to him. A hint of inspiration within his mind. Maybe it was that the Machine God values mankind now and that its alliance is to mankind. It was in fact the Emperor who forged this alliance. Thus, TalOS should continue his service to the two of them just as he had been.
It was also here that TalOS understood why the Emperor entertains the Machine Cult. That if the Emperor was to try to shatter the Mechanicum that it would sever his agreement with an equally powerful god.
Ultimately, through the actions of the Emperor the Machine God chose Humanity to inherit his Technology. One could almost call the Emperor the true Omnissiah for he was the one to forge such an alliance. TalOS did not think so though. While the Emperor brought mankind Technology he is not a Prophet.
As TalOS finished his thoughts he decided that it might be time to study the myths of the Aeldari. He knew for certain that he had read the Story of the Void Dragon. TalOS also remembered how the Motive Force felt to his God, thus he knew here and now how to move forward with his research.
