>>5146113I think maybe the rule change on the shotgun is to make it so that if you roll the highest dX in the damage blast, you receive that as damage to self as well. It is similar to how the Oration/Cartel revolver killed self at stage III on a 6 with a 1d6 roll. So the Veuglaire shotgun would have caused you 12 damage to self with this blast at 8d12 here, as you shredded the Oration Executioner lol.
>>5146394This introduces a cost so that the wielder is not just incentivised to rush in immediately and unleash 8d12 lol regardless of their current state of health. You can calibrate the risk of damage received to self by remaining at a distance and firing the shotgun.
