He hinted at there being more to this Ki stuff, right? If there's anything else you can learn, it will be through him. You head out of your rinky-dink shed and take off into the sky with your newfound ability of flight as you search for the Town Hall. There's no rush, but you really wanted to exercise your newfound powers a bit. No more transportation fees or walking for you anymore!
It takes only a few seconds from your height to find the building you're looking for, the bright red roof and large size giving it away quickly, and you descend downwards to go see if your teach' is here. The door is locked, so you give a knock to the door. Nobody answers. You're about to leave when you hear an angry-sounding shout near the back of the building, and with your interest piqued you quickly hover to the wall and try to listen in.
"...That THING has no place here in this world!" An angry, old sounding voice spat out.
"And your new ways have gone too far. What would your father think?"
"My father isn't here anymore to speak for himself." It's your teacher Kelper, his voice calm and steady, yet defiant towards the nameless person berating him. "And he has done nothing wrong during his time here, nor does he have any ill will towards any of my people. He'd be punished for nothing." They must be talking about you. You do feel glad that Kelper is backing you up.
"It doesn't matter how nice it is, it is a threat to us all." The old voice fired back, lacking the heat from the earlier outburst but by no means friendly. "It has been nearly three months since the Oracle of the Guardian's prediction, and she has never been wrong about any of her warnings." The old voice continued, grabbing even more of your attention. "And there's only 4 days before that omen will inevitably come."
"And what makes you so sure it is specifically Kabra that will lead to the 'otherworldly danger' threatening our way of life? It could be anything from beyond the stars, or more likely the blight from the east that grows with every year." Kelper tries to defend, but whoever he's speaking to isn't having it.
"I didn't serve and protect our kin for 326 years by taking unnecessary risks, boy. The bitterly familiar tone aggravates you, scowling silently as the old fart belittles your teacher and the only person willing to give you a chance in this world.
"You have a choice here. Either you get rid of the outsider by tomorrow, or I take matters into my own hands and punish you too." The old voice states, making it clear that Kelper doesn't have a choice.
But what about you?
>Keep listening, maybe there's more to this story
>Enter the building and make yourself known, maybe there can be direct negotiations, slim as they are
>Leave the village for now, for Kelper's sake
