War continued for what must have been months. Over half of those present had been converted to the Legion of Damnation that the Omnissiah was creating. It was an expected thing for the Omnissiah for he could do the simple arithmetic.
At their current rate of losses the Custodians would not last until the tenth year. The rest will fall quickly as the newly recrafted Guardians needed time to get use to their new bodies that were made more from metal than from the flesh that they once sported.
In the meantime however the Omnissiah simply extended his hand at a group of Daemons. With this simple action lightning came and thunder roared. Where once there were Daemons now there were atomized bits of brass and carbon that were taken by the Warp Gods and stolen to create the battleforms of their Daemons. The Omnissiah had no trouble taking the atoms and flushing them quickly into the walls of his fortress.
A fool might have built a cork to stop the incoming assault. The Omnissiah knew however that such actions would only give the Daemons a chance to strike from any angle that they wished. By creating obvious weak points but bottlenecks was enough to force the Daemons to form up against him.
Brass and Iron that was harvested from the release of the Doleman gates and other stellar phenomena that the Omnissiah released into the room were used to create a shield generator. This one was a generalization on the Gellar Field which caused havoc upon the spells the Daemons used. It could not stop them from manifesting for the Omnissiah would ruin the integrity of the room. What it did stop was the constant bombardment from Flamers and Horrors that were trying to score lucky hits upon his Tech Priests.
But he was no fool for he noticed a change roughly a month ago within the Daemons. Their formations became more organized and their attacks much more focused. It was not from a brilliant tactical mind but their actions were coherent enough to show that a Unified Commander had taken the Field.
It was when the Omnissiah saw Blue and Gold armor that he knew who was here. He had heard the whispers among the Motive Force and how he was paying witness to the next generation of Thousand Sons taking the Field alongside Daemons in testing attacks.
Magnus the Red was among them, fighting to open the hole he created on behalf of his patron. Or at least one part of the Daemon Prince that was shattered across the Universe when he made a Deal with Tzeentch.
