“Understood.” he replies, turning back to his giant ball of Kuriboh. “Everyone brace yourselves, this is going to be a big one.”
“I'll be the judge of that.” your wife replies, stepping over beside you and leaning against you. “Let it fly!”
“DETONATE!” he calls out, no preamble or incantation needed as he raises his staff towards the giant ball of creatures. Who all glow white for a moment before exploding.

Tens, no, hundreds of thousands of explosions go off simultaneously, turning the giant ball of furballs into an even larger ball of fire. You see the shock wave approaching, pushing your weight onto your toes instead of your heels, bracing for the hit. A moment later it strikes you, the blast washing over you all. Alimar is knocked from his feet, the other Crimson Demons far more used to withstanding explosions on the scale of your wife's. Who you look over to, seeing her eyes wide in surprise. No doubt shocked his blast was comparable to her strongest attack.
“WOAAAAH! So cool!!” Meloka Wolbach calls out, turning from the explosion over to the young man, eyes sparkling as she holds onto her Furufurumarin. “That was amazing!”
“I must say, I wasn't expecting that!” Chief Hiropon says with a laugh, head back and hands on his hips before leaning in, slapping Alimar on the back. “Your magic's quite something, although your presentation needs work. But we can work on that later, well done.”
“Later...? Hold on, does that mean-?” he asks, looking from Chief Hiropon to you and back as you smile, holding out your hand.
“I think you've got potential.” you tell him, the man's eyes shining. “But I won't take any quitters. If I'm going to teach you, you're going to have to give it everything you've got. Are you ready?”
“I've been waiting all my life to become an Archwizard!” he exclaims, taking your hand in both of his. “Thank you, thank you!”
“Welcome aboard, Alimar Zorc.” you tell him, ready to see what else he can do. “Now, how about you show us what else you've got?”
“Yes sir!” he replies enthusiastically, readying his mana. You're not sure if you've got what it takes to be a teacher, but you know that you'll give it your best shot. After all, you've got another upcoming wizard you need to be ready to train in a few more years, better to get in some practice being a teacher now.
