>>6178411You flair your arms wildly at the much larger woman, wait why are you so small? About the size of a lory if you were to say.
“Calm down, calm. I wanna say something,” She says with a “placating” gesture using both her hands, “I mean, sure, it’s reasonable to be frightened when looking at fellow Strangers. Never nice to see our kind end up dead. Especially when they’ve already died once,” She rolls her eyes, “Pretty shitty Heaven, this fucked up world turned out to be, huh?” She speaks cordially and gently shoves you with her elbow. A horrifying gesture because it almost knocks you off the edge of the hot air balloon where you’re standing.
Even worse is that after that, you hear a horrendously loud crash that can only be described as a mix of thunder, glass shattering, and reality breaking. The woman’s face shrinks in fright for only a split second before a maniacal grin splits her face, “Ooo~ Looks like you’re dear itty bitty sisters gotten mad that I’m saying things I ‘shouldn’t,’” She says that last word with air quotes before putting her arms on her hips, “How come she gets to break all the rules of reality when she wants but I’m some sort of psycho for trying to mold this place like she did?” She shakes her head dismissively, “Can’t girls have a little bit of fun around here?”
Another thunderous tremble of the world, you can feel the desert heat upon your skin.
“Ugh, she can try all she likes, but you rejected her! So that means I get to do what I want!” What? No, no, no- “Yes, yes, yes! You’re darling little sis wanted to, I don’t know, let you live your sad, pathetic little life, letting you pretend you’re not involved in our quarrel,” She gestures grandly to the fields of twice-dead Stranger, “But not so fast! You got the stuff to tilt our war to one side, and I fully intend to!”
“Enough!” You hear a shout that cascades across the entire world.
“Shut up, traitor! She’s mine now!” Dorothy snarls as the world shakes. Shakes enough for you to lose your balance and tumble towards your doom.
The last thing you see as you fall is an emerald city far off, over the horizon, another balloon setting forth from it.
