The three of you soon reach the end of the 'shortcut' Anthony led you down. When you turn around, all that's behind you is a solid metal wall.
"Shortcuts, baby." Anthony snaps his fingers. You briefly skim your map and, wow, yeah. If you're reading it right, you're only one turn away from reaching your location. You're glad hiring him wasn't a waste of money after all.
You feel something squirming inside your satchel. You reach in and...huh.
>You've obtained another EGG?
You place the 'EGG' back where you found it. You'll deal with that WAY later.
"Right, so what did ya see with those funny glasses?"
"That corporate rep? Most of her body was a plastic shell. I've seen less plastic in a Barbie doll."
"Like, what, implants?"
"No, her whole body was a doll's body. But that wasn't it. The rest of her body?"
You point at Lucy. "Imagine if her condition was ten times worse. Pure raw meat. 'course, I didn't want to mention it to her face."
"O-oh n-no, uhm...t-that's. That s-sucks, that really does." Lucy mumbles out. "P-probably a g-good idea you didn't. I-I-It took me a while to get used to t-this form." She waves one of her goo-like arms around.
"I c-can't imagine she enjoys being l-like that. U-uhm." Lucy glances around to make sure no one is listening in. You do so just in case, and well, there's someone watching you from the leftmost end of the hallway. They're keeping their distance so you can't get a solid look at them.
From what little you can see, they're holding a clipboard in their hands. Is that the BLACKWELL REP? Probably a good idea for you to skip meeting FET and the GHOST then.
"I-I have one question."
"Shoot." You and Anthony say in unison.
"Wasn't s-she being kind of...clingy? I-I didn't like h-how, uhm, close she g-got to us. M-Maybe th-there's more to her condition. M-maybe she's infectious."
While that could be true, you can hear a hint of jealousy creeping into Lucy's words. You do your best to contain your laughter. Oh, that's positively adorable.
"Well. Whatever she is, it's all contained in that shell of hers. If Vincent didn't use those funny glasses, we wouldn't know jack or shit."
True. Anthony's not wrong either; if she is infectious, the shell she's in might be a way to contain it.
"You're not just saying that because you're jealous, right?"
Lucy doesn't dignify your question with a response. Whatever, you can open that can of worms later; you have someone you have to meet with. With one last turn, the three of you finally arrive at the entrance to the ABNORMALITY MATERIALS STORAGE.
A familiar old man is standing outside of the entrance to the storage room. He's about the same age as Anthony, now that you can compare them side by side, but he's been spared from the worst of the ravages of time. There's barely any hair on his head, and his skin is flabby and saggy, but that's the worst you can say about him.
"Ah! Welcome, welcome." Rudolf flashes a smile. "I see that you brought some—Wait. Anthony?"
