As they finished eating TalOS could not hold his tongue for much longer, +There is one request I wish to make. I have given my word to Azekh Ahriman that I would cure his brother of the Flesh Change. In the state I am now, I should be able to remove what makes the flesh change flow through his brother.+
+Ahriman is at the side of his Father, do you wish to disturb them in this time of trial?+ The Emperor asked as he looked upon TalOS with firm questioning.
+My solution is a stopgap measure. It is not a cure. What you desire of Magnus will still happen for he will will not enjoy my solution.+ TalOS answered his creator firmly.
+You wish to use your power to save one soul, however much you can salvage of it.+ The Emperor described TalOS’s intentions in a way to taste the words within his mouth, +Do you wish to do this with the permission of Magnus, or covertly?+
+As I listen to your words, it will be with his permission.+ TalOS answered with conviction.
The Emperor nodded as he stared off in the direction of Terra. While not seen, TalOS could feel the beam of psychic energy which must have connection with some far off person. Such communication would have been impossible, but the man before TaloS was the Emperor of Mankind.
Being a witness to his creator’s face, TalOS watched as the Emperor of Mankind seemed to have aged a few days in a single moment. His face became slightly sunken and his eyes were lowering. The man was now staring out into another direction with vision that saw so far away.
+He has rejected your proposal.+ The Emperor said simply as he looked upon TalOS once more, +We will watch him, but do not take any actions until I say. His fate still hangs in the balance of the Universe and to mention it to him will only drive him the other direction.+
Thus the words were clear. If TalOS ostracized his brother it will guarantee his turning towards the forces they fight. TalOS, if they are to somehow succeed, need to welcome him if there is any chance of saving him.
Will he do so, the Primarch could not say. Not yet. For as the Emperor said there was only a chance of it working, it was not guaranteed.
