“And that’s why no one wants to race you anymore.” Glass said.
“It’s not my fault that I’m so awesome.” Iara protested.
“And humble too.” you commented.
That got a laugh out of everyone, Shark included. And by the time you reached your destination, Ester was already there waiting for you, cementing her title as the fastest mutant in Central Park.

“Alright everybody, we need ideas.” Glass declared.
He and the others managed to round up pretty much every mutant in Central Park. Even Nature Girl showed up, but she was very clearly distracted by a pair of squirrels quarreling in the background.
“We’ve already suggested that Nature Girl and Ester focus on raising livestock, growing food and other goods that we can trade for.” Glass continued.
“I’m not raising animals to be slaughtered if that’s what you’re thinking.” Nature Girl snapped, giving Glass the side eye.
“You won’t have to. That’s what this meeting is for.” Glass clarified.
“We know what you’re all about, Lin.”
This voice came from a tall, skinny boy with bird-like features. His name was Barnell, but everyone called him “Beak”.
Lin frowned slightly, but she inclined her head in place of an apology. Glass went on.
“To be clear-”
Some people in the audience chuckled at that.
“We’re not moving forward with anything if you’re not comfortable with it.”
With those words, the tension in the audience dissipated a bit.
“With that being said, I want all of your opinions on ways that we can make a decent living.”
“What about the fairy flowers?” Nature Girl asked.
Glass shook his head.
“That can’t be our only source of income. We can’t stay in this park forever, and we’ll probably have to start paying rent or taxes when we find our forever home.”
“Mutants don’t have a ‘forever home’.” said the one called “Skids”.
Everyone turned to look at her.
