The first thing that Lucian’s attention was drawn to was the sword. The weapon already calming its aura in an attempt to avoid the eyes of Lucian and the others within the room. Though unlike what the weapon probably wished, Gillot held the blade infront of him for an inspection of its frame and making.
There was caution in Lucian’s steps. The Knight carried the axe that was simply too large for someone like him to be wielding. He was of preference to lighter instruments of war, ones that allowed him to get into the joints of the armor and carefully rip apart the foe.
This axe was simply a weapon for a brutalist. Oddly perfect for Dwarfs who while craftsman were monsterous warriors.
“Gillot.” Lucian was the first to speak as he arrived to the side of the Prince, “You need to put that sword down. It might seem powerful but its not safe to wield for much longer.”
The helm looked towards Lucian, then at the sword. His face was masked by the weapon and kept the true thoughts and features of Gillot hidden, but as he dropped the weapon upon the ground so that the blade would dig into the ground the result was clear.
The Knight looked towards Lucian with expectation, the Black Knight still stunned with how easily he gave up the blade. The Ducal Prince gave a hint of annoyance in his voice, “Are you going to explain why I had to disarm myself of this blade? Also, why I want to do things that I don’t.”
“Yes, sorry-” Lucian felt himself a little worried as he scratched the back of his head on the matter, “That weapon is of a Necromancer’s Champion. I… suspect that its meant to make those who die by its blade more easily raised by Necromancy. That… and it can think.”
“A cursed weapon.” He gave a sneer of disgust at the weapon while giving it a subtle kick, “Damn the gods that I need to rely upon it.”
“Lucky I say. That First King almost had us all killed.” Adok said as he walked out to them with a limp in his leg, “So you killed the bastard Umgi?”
“I did, with his own sword at the cost of my scythe.” Lucian admitted as the others came towards him.
