You ask if you can have any weapons for this "diplomatic mission". Also, why are they taking weapons on a diplomatic mission. Also, can you have one?
"The appearance of the spider bot thing has HQ scrambling for better ways to rate the difficulty of missions. Also, It's not a taboo to walk around the fae world with a weapon. Do you have a weapon you can take? It's a bit late to try and acquisition one now." Kamiko says.
"These come in a pair." Emogen says, holding up her not one, but two axes. "I don't like to fight with a weapon in each hand, so you are free to borrow one for now if you'd like."
You take her up on the offer.
As you enter the Commissary, you ask Emogen if she has any pictures of Kamiko from back then.
"I do, actually!" She says, pulling out her phone and scrolling.
"W-what? How?! You didn't even have a phone at the time!" Kamiko denies.
"I scanned them off some film so I wouldn't lose them. I mean look how cute you are!" Emogen says, showing you a picture of your co-worker The picture was taken while Kamiko was mid meal and ravaging a large baked leg of some creature. She has a few less scars, and her hair is way more oily looking. She is younger too though you can't say how old, as she still appears quite large. Her clothes appear almost tribal and are a mish-mash of animal furs, cracked and discarded belts, and pieces of other creatures. To top it off, she is carrying around a big, spiked metal club.
Kamiko has turned her head back to looking forward, her face beet red out of embarrassment. She goes off to find some food, with Tamako trailing behind asking if she still has that "cool club', and if she can hold it.
"Ah, how time flies... You know I hadn't been here much longer than her by that point. SHR warned me to report anything weird she does, but past the first few weeks she was here she's been thriving."
You ask her what the etiquette for asking what sort of fairy a person is. You are a bit curious to know what she is but you don't want to be rude for asking. You also wanna see what Kamiko is. She says half-fae, but what is the fae part of her?
As she takes a plate of cornbread from a machine she replies, "Nothing wrong with asking! Some fairies don't like to reveal that, but I don't mind. I am daughter of Jimmy Squarefoot. He's not that well known around these parts, but he holds a strong presence where I'm from, even to this day."
You ask why fairies would hide who they are.
"Well, if you know hat a fairy is then you may be able to use it's Glamour against it. Think of a Vampire, you know? It's Glamour dictates that it gets all those cool powers, but then they also don't do well with sunlight, or stakes through the heart.
You found a plate with a large bread roll, cold cuts, cheese, and a soft-boiled eggs on it. You then make your way to the table with your daughter and two co-workers.
