>>5975426Thankfully you didn't have to order them twice as it felt like near instantly the people stopped staring at you and did as ordered. Food will be eaten and alcohol will flow.
Now though, you had a mission. You were going to find someone very specific.
…
"Prince Perenolde." Morgan greeted you and waved some of the other Stonemasons around him away.
"Morgan, Drudgemoor." You greeted them back without nodding. "I would like to talk with Miss Caledon, if the two of you wouldn't mind."
"Of course." Morgan replied again and nodded to Drudgemoor. The two men walked past you, leaving you and Surena Caledon alone.
"Prince Alric, why do I owe this pleasure?" Surena asked and gave you a questioning look. She was wearing the same clothes as before, but it was clear that she had put some effort into her hair. Not going to lie, she did look quite stunning.
"I thought that a Prince like me would need an escort, a vis-a-vis for an evening and feast like this." You told her matter of factly.
"And you chose me and not…" Surena asked, a bit puzzled, but stopped.
"And not what?" You asked her. She must have learned more about the rumours around you.
"The girl from Tarren Mill, or maybe the one in your home?" Surena asked.
"Oh I can go ask them if you don't want to." You said and started to turn around.
"No I didn't mean that." Surena replied quickly. "I would love to be your date for the evening, but why me? Why not anyone else?"
Your little trick worked, a small bait and switch.
"Prince Alric… what about… the things people talk about you?" Surena asked carefully. So she had heard the rumours.
>Surena is an interesting person based on her skills. You want to know her better.>Everyone needs to see you mingling together with one of the Stonemasons. Ask her to play a part in this ploy.>Because of your reputation, of course you would choose the most beautiful of the Stonemasons. Be completely serious about this.>Other, write in>The rumours surrounding you are false, all of them. Yet you need to feed them for a reason.>Damn the rumours, both of you know that you are going to have fun today carousing and dancing.>It depends completely on what rumours she is talking about. Can she tell you what she is talking about?>Other, write in.QM: Please vote on both.
