Lucian looked at her with a glare, his eyes sharpening as he did so. It was a steady growing of will as he began to remember everything that was to happen. All the pains and troubles that she had caused him from the moment she slaughtered his people.
It was not just him that suffered though. Sure he hated these people, these sailors, but the Knight remembered that he had others who mattered far greater. It was this fact that his oaths were made, and to that end that his prise should shutter. Shutter at the duty that he held.
His hand reached onto his back and unhooked the blade. His hand gripped it, and suddenly the power that was kept within the weapon flowed from his hands into his chest, stomach, and legs. In his hands Lucian carried a mountain who had the power to crush anyone it was placed over.
“You…” Lucian spoke as he took the weapon from its holder and gripped both hands upon the shaft, “The Monster who took everything from me and killed all I loved.”
Lucian could see the vampire tilting her head in confusion. The whimsiness dimmed as she tried to realize what he was speaking, “What kind of nonsense are you speaking? I don’t remember attacking one of the Knights of Bretonnia. If I did that then your Dukes would have surely hunted me down.”
Lucian presented his weapon to her, the runes of the scythe glowing just as the runes on his chest still glowed, “The dishonor these men have done to me is incomparable to the deeds you have done to me. You are my greatest Foe, Vampire.”
“It seems you wish to fight then?” She asked while getting out her own sword. It was a slender weapon, one clearly fashioned from the Empire of Man instead of the forges of Dwarfs, “Very well, it would have been sad if you fell for my little trick.”
“In the name of the Living and the Dead, I take vengeance for VERAC!” Lucian yelled as he charged her.
He could see it in her eyes. She did not recognize the words that were spoken. It did not really matter to Lucian who brought the scythe to bear against her.
In the next moment, scythe and sword met. And the world shuttered.
