“I do agree with the Archbishop.” He replied. “But do you understand my request?”
The Church doesn’t want Katrana to be the representative of the Nobles and if your testimony is too positive, then the Nobles might actually choose her especially as you had said that Katrana did nothing wrong and even Ebonlocke flipped and went to her side. So they were asking for a testimony that wouldn’t paint her in the best of light, that she wouldn’t be chosen. And instead someone else weaker, maybe more easily controlled and pushed to the right direction would end up in that position. It was a smart move from the Archbishop, to get the vote of the Nobles under Church influence.
You started to understand how these old leaders had got their positions and stayed in their positions. But you could also throw your support behind Katrana and through that make her owe you a lot. It wouldn't be her that has requests to you that you can't decline, but vice versa. The power balance between the two of you would change a lot. Though would that be smart? She is Katrana, you know her now and she did fumble the situation quite badly after all. So would maybe Ebonlocke be a solid compromise, a solid ally and friend in Stormwind? It could be useful to have contacts beyond those few in the City itself, it is a large Kingdom after all.
>You will give the testimony as fairly as possible, thank you for the advice. Deflect away from the request.>The testimony will be neutral and how things happened. You are not going to give a bad testimony.>Lady Katrana will get your support and in return you will get her support. That is only fair after everything.>You are going to suggest that Lord Ebonlocke gets the position of representative. You trust him and he is well liked, especially after yesterday.>Other, write in.QM: Bonus for studying fire magic get, actual spell options will come when the time asks for it. What you tell Bolvar now is not the testimony itself. You can change your mind or keep it as is, consistency though will be rewarded.
