So they were asking for a testimony that wouldn’t paint her in the best of light, that she wouldn’t be chosen. And instead someone else weaker, maybe more easily controlled and pushed to the right direction would end up in that position. It was a smart move from the Archbishop, to get the vote of the Nobles under Church influence.
