>>5349660“When your daughter Caulifla healed Chaya, she undoubtedly saved her life.” he says, but gestures to her arms. “But however her magic works, it didn’t affect those.”
“I saw those marks earlier.” you mutter, once again seeing the lightning-shaped scars going up your eldest daughter’s limbs. They seem even more pronounced now than before, you feeling an uncomfortable worry rising in your guts. “I thought that, if Cauli couldn’t fix it, then the healing pod would.”
“I thought the same.” Raditz says with a heavy sigh, speaking up for the first time. “I don’t know what’s wrong.”
“Raditz here told me of the machine shaped like a dragon, how it could manipulate electricity into attacks and even recombine other massive machinery with it.” Dr. White continues. “Such a powerful electrical current would probably have killed her, had she not been blessed her father’s endurance and stubbornness. But taking such power into her system can’t be good. Those fractal patterned scars up her arms seem to be the reaults of her arms’ blood vessels bursting as the electricity coursed up her arms.”
As he says this you remember how she screamed as she was hit, body thrown violently back away from Vox’s creation. But Dr. White isn’t done yet.
“She’s lucky it didn’t stop the electrical signals pulsing in her heart or brain, as that could have killed her outright.” he continues. “But that doesn’t mean she still hasn’t suffered serious damage. That much electricity could have damaged the nerves in her arms, causing intense pain, numbness, or even permanently weaking them, memory or sleep damage, the list goes on. Not to mention the after effects of whatever diabolical magics that maniac Tanya unleashed upon her. Until Chaya wakes up, I won’t be able to accurately access the scale of the damage. Magic and modern technology have done what they can, now all we can do is wait.”
You turn back from Dr. White to Chaya, laying your massive left hand on the glass by her head.
“Chaya...” you mutter, worry rising up from the depths as you gaze at your daughter. As you do, you see her closed eyes twitching, your daughter no doubt dreaming.
But what now?
>Stay here with your daughter, at least until everyone else’s up>Try telepathically reaching out to Chaya, and see if you can reach her that way>Leave Chaya in their capable hands, go out on a Mindslayer hunt to fix your family’s breakfast>Go check in with Silver, ask how everything's going and what is a good recovery breakfast for your daughter in the shape she’s in>Telepathically reach out to Aku, tell him what happened with the Abyss and see if he can help you get your sword back today or sometime soon>Other(write in)
