If there’s something you have learned the hard way is that you have to knock the door before entering ANY room. So, you’ll do that, and huh, use your patented ‘What’s good?™’ knock jingle that everyone knows you for. What’s a knock jingle? Well, it’s the beat you use to knock on the door! You spontaneously decided this is a thing now, and this is what it’s called.
“Who’s there?” The mature voice of Present Wilma asks. You used your fucking jingle, why is she asking? Why bother doing anything if no one pays attention to the little details anyway?!
“It’s me, Phil. Err, I mean, Johnny.” You got too used to your nickname… “Can I come in?”
“Alone?” Wilma sounds confused. She expected more company.
“Yeah. Is something wrong?” You didn’t know this was going to be an issue.
“...Of course not, feel free to enter once I give you my signal.” The mature woman that isn’t a tomato anymore says with a little hesitation.
“What’s the signal?” You need to make sure you’re doing things right.
“W-When I tell you that you can come in!”
“Does this one count?” You raise an eyebrow
“...N-Yes.” Wilma was ready midway through her words. “Please, feel free to enter.”
“Right!” You slide the door open. You curse this weird ass dojo with its weird ass doors…
Wilma is bowing down to you while sitting on a comfy pillow.
“Thank you for everything you did, Johnny.” The distinguished woman raises her head and smiles. She cut her hair! What a glow up! Her radiant smile has all her teeth! It’s wonderful.
…
Now she turns tomato and freezes upon laying her eyes on you.
“Now, if you’ll excuse me.” Wilma stands up, walks up to the nearest closet, and locks herself in it.
…
What?
What do you do?
>“Wait, you know what happened over in the bubble?” Technically, you didn’t do a thing out here for her!
>“You okay there? What was that?” Be bewildered! What is this?!
>“Woah, you’re as silly as ever…” Well, technically the younger Wilma wasn’t this stupid.
>“You’re welcome. It was nice seeing you.” Walk away.
