So then, the ship was actually headed for the port (you sensed and investigated it farther out) meaning you should attack while it is still out to sea, before getting closer.
First order then is to summon some help once you're farther out in open ocean. With your powerful body you're able to vocalize a call that is tremendously far reaching, in fact you end up calling for any large aquatic life up to several days away, however you only need those close by. On such short notice it's a decent effort, summoning a fair few within the hour. You conduct them to make ramming passes of the ship then, and even a vessel of this size will suffer the blows when it's laden and of course, made of wood. A large ship indeed but not a warship, as your aquatic allies harass the boat and most importantly draw the attention of the human crew... you become aware of their increasing alarm at this strange anomaly.
For the most part it's a distraction however, as you swim underneath and deliver some hammering blows of your own against the underside of the hull. If you really tried you could just punch or crush the ship to pieces, but you don't want to expend too much energy for what you have in mind. Though you certainly get some attention as you put several sizeable breaks and holes in a circular pattern under the hull, enough to start taking on water and you can hear the crew panicking within to try and deal with the problem.
<span class="mu-b">"That's right, gather. Gather to the bottom, little humans."</span>
With things underway now, and some of your aquatic allies driven off by attacks fro the ship, you waste no time in diving. Deep, deep down, till the light dims and the ship is barely a small silhouette up above. Mustering your strength and focus then, you channel your physical might as well as your divine influence over the sea, and begin your ascent. An increasingly rapid upwards charge as you gain more and more momentum, building up as much speed as you can with your own powerful limbs and then channeling the water around to carry you even more when you reach your maximum physical speed.
Closer and closer you get, brighter and brighter the illumination of the water becomes, and larger and larger the ship's silhouette grows. Till finally in self-preservation all your summoned sea life rapidly flee away from the ship in all directions, and you pass into shadow.
