https://youtu.be/izn7s7ENNUoWhen you open your eyes next, You find yourself at a crossroads, an intersection of grayness and stillness.
The paths of the intersection are infinite and span in all directions, separated only by strange, incomprehensible geometric shapes that resemble office buildings.
Above you, concrete debris floats against gravity and around you colorless cars drive past with opaque windshields. The cars go down the many intersecting roads, only to fade into the gray nothingness.
“The Fissure between dreams…” You realize as you look around the dead landscape.
“Right you are dear~” A cheery voice calls from behind you.
You turn around and a few feet away from you is Lucy, her beautiful face highlighted by her endearing smile and yet ruined by the total emptiness in her eyes.
“Lucy…” Looking at her always gives you this bizarre feeling, one between captivation and repulsion.
“Specifically we’re in the Sea of the unconscious again, I’ve somewhat made this place my home, since it seems to be the only place that worm Genesis won’t follow and harass me in.” She states.
“You two are still fighting?” You ask.
“I don’t think we will ever stop fighting dear. It’s in our nature.” She answers.
You shrug, you don’t get what she means but you don’t care enough to ask right now, your concerns lie elsewhere.
“Take me back, wake me up.” You order.
“Hm? Why?” She asks.
“I need to investigate the scene. I can’t let this chance slip away.” You answer.
“The scene isn’t going anywhere dear, trust me. You don’t need to wake up now, it’s dangerous.” She counters.
You feel a pulse of rage, “Danger be damned, hell I’m half hoping I get to run into those two again so I can ask them personally what the hell happened.”
“Now dear…” She looks unamused.
“Spare me, just wake me up. I’m sure you have some weird power that can heal me and get me back into fighting shape right?”
She shakes her head, “I have no powers with which to heal, not human beings anyway."
Her eyes harden, "but even if I did, I wouldn’t use them.”
“Why?” You ask.
“Because even if you were to go against either of those two in your best fighting condition, you would still lose.” She answers
You flash an angry smile, “For a joke that wasn’t very funny…Now wake me up.”
“I’m not joking.” She states.
“...” You’re left at a loss.
“I don’t mean this in a hurtful way, I’m just stating the facts. If you go back now, you will die. I will not send the man I love to his death.” She declares.
You glare at her, “Oh fucking shove it! Enough with this love, love horseshit you keep spewing!”
