“We have?” Theo lost the flow of discussion minutes ago.
“It seemed very pleasant to me…” Leo is happy the spotlight turned away from him and his issues in Mistral.
“Hm, they’ll live. Now general, what is your play? I dislike these covert games.”
James’ face shows a ghost of a genuine smile for a second. “As do I. The plan is to show you and Thyme together, making focus on how you saved his life as a way to show the faunus population humans are there for them.”
Coco’s face grows annoyed. “Rather to prove they need you, right? They’re helpless without the big, strong humans.”
“That is not my intention, I can’t speak for some of my…” his voice takes a slight sharp edge, “fellow councilmen.”
“What else.” You don’t particularly care for that, you only wish to ensure Isaac won’t be screwed over.
“By the end of the month you will receive a letter from myself requesting your team’s presence in Atlas to receive a medal for heroism, in which the story will be told in Kingdom-wide coverage.”
“Jimbo,” Theo says in a dangerous tone. “You better not be trying to steal MY students from under my nose again or we’re gonna have a problem right now.”
“That will be his choice, I won’t force anything.”
“Say I don’t go to your ceremony, what will happen to Isaac?”
“The council can’t go back on its promise now that Thyme will attend Atlas, though I can’t guarantee the quality of whatever arrives should you deny the pr stunt…” The general’s face gets another ghost of a smile. “Although, now that I told you about it, some specifications may be accidentally altered, those being coincidentally whatever you ask.”
“By the Brothers! Is Jimbo gonna break a rule?! The sky is falling!”
“Don’t be foolish Theo, I don’t break rules. If my secretary is out on a well earned vacation and I can’t arrange Kingdom tv for the event and have to settle with a small, private ceremony, well that’s just bad luck. Either way the council will have to be satisfied.” The ghost of a smile becomes more apparent. It seems no one hates the Atlesian government more than its own general.
