A sudden realization dawns on you, an idea that cuts your tension away. The signal Amane sent out could have been intercepted by Number 2. In fact, that was part of the reason you'd come out here, right? If Number 2 did hear it and was on his way, this could be him. You always wondered what he'd looked like. All the data log entries simply mentioned how similar he looked to you. Nothing about his color or design.
"I hear it now, footsteps, who could it be?" Amane's voice breaks the silence, her curiosity mirroring your own. Eventually, you see a figure slowly emerging from the tree line. Despite the dim light, your enhanced eyes catch a faint gleam reflecting off the armor, still too soon to pick out any colors though. More importantly, you discern two distinct features: A pair of antennae positioned in a striking 'V' formation on the figure's forehead, and the glow of compound eyes.
"Are you Number 2? Are you a Kamen Rider?" You ask out loud.
"That's impossible! There is no Kamen Rider 2!" Amane's voice rings out from behind you, filled with disbelief.
<span class="mu-i">'Sorry, but actually, I have documented proof there is.'</span>
The figure comes to a stop a few meters away from you. A mix of anticipation fills you.
"I suppose. If I were to call myself a Kamen Rider, I would be number 2." The figure said, his voice sounded strangely familiar, but his helmet was distorting his voice somewhat. Surely, this must be Number 2.
You did say you'd treat the next Kamen Rider you saw like a brother. That was a while ago though, after you saw those dead men and women, could you really trust him? Maybe you're misunderstanding something, maybe Number 2 has a very simple explanation for it all. If he is 'you' like the future data log suggests, then you could at least come to an understanding, maybe cover for him if he needs it. Number 2 has been all alone all this time, so it's time for you to extend your hand, right?
>Keep your choice. Welcome your brother.
>Be wary.
>Call the soldiers to you.
