During all this time, as you watched the sun crawl through the sky and set over the horizon, your biggest wish was that you could crack open a few beers and relax a bit. But you made it a personal rule to never drink on the job. And that meant making conscious efforts to untighten your fists, release the tension in your muscles and unclench your asshole. Your nerves were killing you for some reason. It was just a job! You had to keep telling yourself it was just a job.
…But you knew that it wasn’t. It was more than that. If everything went right, then this would be the op that put your team's name on the map. This was the big leagues! Right here and right now!
The promise of a massive score was the only thing that kept your mind from wandering to darker places. And speaking of darker places…
You shot out of your chair and adjusted the settings on the custom lenses that Max made for you. The world went black, and suddenly, the objects and obstacles around you become nothing more than a jumble of detailed, white outlines. It was like you were playing one of those super retro arcade games, where the world existed on a black grid. It had to be the shittiest camera filter you’d ever seen, but at least you knew it worked. Because before your very eyes, you saw the distinct silhouette of the guy that single handedly crippled this entire city.
“Benny? What’s the matter?” Flint asked, concern clear in his voice.
“I’ve got eyes on Slip.” you declared, relaying the information to the rest of your group as well.
The little thief was creeping out of an alleyway and searching around frantically. The streets were much emptier now, allowing him to move without hurting anyone or causing a commotion. Little did he know, his very existence was enough to spark a gang war that might shift the balance of power in this city. Forever.
What will you do?
>Stick to observing him for now. You don’t want to be the first group to expose themselves.>Pounce on him! You might be the only one here that can go toe to toe with him.>Prepare an ambush. He can't fight all of you off at once.>Slowly and quietly, creep up behind him. You want to have a little chat with him before fists and bullets start flying.>Write-in.Pastebins:
