>>6014037R-1134 peers over the edge of the pillbox. With the multilaser silenced, he can see his Krieger comrades swarming towards him, some carrying the Aquilla flag.
R-1134 kicks the body of the officer. Not much to do now but wait for the bunker to be captured and wait for additional orders. He rifles through the pockets of each of the enemies. They have some nutribars hidden away which he eats. He had no idea how long it had been since receiving those orders to capture the bunker but it must've been an hour at least.
Closer now, he can hear lasgun fire and Krieger voices yelling directions. The gunfire seems very one sided, maybe ten Krieger shots to every enemy lasgun shot. To the untrained ear they might sound the same but to a Kreiger who has known only Lucius lasguns, the difference is night and day.
Banging on the steel door now.
R-1134 is so tired. He can feel the wounds from his previous engagements starting to bubble up to the surface. The concussion, the stab wound to the leg, the multitude of scrapes and bruises.
Banging on the door now.
R-1134 sits on the ground, near the pillbox firing slit. It doesn't seem like a big challenge to open up the door but, to him, it seems like a thousand mile march.
And if its not friendly, thats it- R-1134 has no more fight left in him.
The steel door question:
