As TalOS heard those words spoken he decided to give his own voice to the matter, “What we have gained here is very dangerous literature. Knowledge, while it is useful, should not be given to those who do not know how to tame it. We should send these texts to Malcador and from there the information will be disseminated.”
“Brother, we have worked hard to get ourselves these texts and lessons.” Magnus answered TalOS with a raised brow of interest and rebuttal, “If we are to give it to Malcador then why were we even here today?”
“To secure five Maiden Worlds for the Imperium.” Jaghatai answered Magnus’s rebuttal with what was now coming to be a deep seated annoyance and anger.
“Brothers, let us hold back at this moment before we strike at one another with words.” Sanguinius called out as he shined a powerful cheerful smile, “What we have gained today, no matter your reasons for coming to this battle, outweighs both of our interests. Know this, and let us finish analyzing the spoils that we have gained.”
Jaghatai gave a small breath as he looked upon Magnus with a cautious look and then towards TalOS, “TalOS, I respect what you are saying but there is meat in Magnus’s words. I have lost my sons for both these books and these words. The Worlds go to the Imperium, so the spoils remaining is this literature.”
“I do not see why it needs to be distributed so willingly. I have seen Xenos Empire that have been tainted by having this knowledge flow freely through their realm.” TalOS told his brothers as he remembered back to the Plastoids, “If we are to keep it, it must be kept under strict lock and key. Even a standard Astartes should not be privy to the secrets we hold.”
TalOS could see a lightening within the eyes of the Khan as those words were spoken, “To that I can agree. We must keep it safe, tread carefully upon it. Magnus, I do not think this would be too unreasonable?”
The Red Giant looked slightly uneasy as he looked from one side and another, then gave a nod, “What you are suggesting can be arranged.”
“We have an agreement then.” Sanguinius spoke as he gave a nod towards his brothers, “We should host keepers of these books within our Legions. There they can collect many more texts from the archives and many more in the future.”
“That is, reasonable enough.” TalOS said while feeling a subtle dread within his heart. At the very least TalOS could do his own research into whatever the Necrons and these Old Ones were.
