>>5170891>>5170899>>5170912>>5170925Since you're already next to a weaponsmith, it would be cool to think of how many different shapes can be put into an armored mount. A lot of the fancy nobles liked to make their weaponry look frilly by adding weapons, engravings and alike, but what if you were to combine the entire set of armor with some animal, and make the horse's armor based around that too?
It seems a bit ambitious, but the first sketch is always the messiest. It's only until the third or fouth redraw that they start looking like the shapes you wanted them to be.
You started with some head pieces with different shapes, until you thought of using a marlin for an animal theme, with the horse having several metal platings curved around his face to resemble scales, giving the horse a pointed bill that could make him impale enemies along with your spear. While there's no shame in using a basic pointy stick, you could definitely get stylish thanks to your imagination. How about a bardiche? A halberd? Maybe even a trident!
The details are a bit harder to fill in, but by the time you are done with your concept art, you are very proud of the end result, even drawing a crest similar to the one you had back home. Since you're doing it from memory, it doesn't look exactly the same as the Santana Crest, but knowing where you are, it's probably for the best that no one recognizes you.
"Wow! I can feel the fire coming out of that paper!" Zhafira apparently finished setting up her stage, looking over from your shoulder to check your sketching. "Do you plan on showing this to my dad? It will probably take a few days for him to finish it, but it seems feasible, even if it would make you stand out."
>Yeah, I would like to wear something similar to this.>Nah, this was just for fun. I have another armor and weapon in mind.>Honestly, just getting a sturdier lance would be good enough for an upgrade.> I don't need anything that fancy, just a regular armor set would be nice.
