There was a strange lack of fanfare when <span class="mu-i"><span class="mu-s">Cijan Anak</span></span> came down the entryway. Everyone had been standing here for the past twenty minutes to greet him on his way inside. This tall, middle aged man with the twin-tails is the absolute <span class="mu-i">Supreme Ruler</span> of your entire species- the all-powerful dictator that guides the Hegemony into the space age.
You were also impressed at exactly how far up that queue you were allowed to stand. Administrators of entire <span class="mu-i">planets</span> were farther down the line then you and your mother.
<span class="mu-g">”Welcome home, my Master.”</span> Your mother says. You copy her curtsy.
“Mrs.Dulioan.” He says, looking at Shjomae. Then, he looks at you. “Kima.” He remembers your name!
<span class="mu-g">”I know it has been a long journey for you- and many years since you've been home. I wanted to create a very welcoming atmosphere with the decorations. We all are very happy you are back.”</span>
“Indeed, it has. Many things have changed.”
<span class="mu-g">”You remember Kima? She has done quite a lot of <span class="mu-i">growing up</span> since you left.”</span>
Cijan looks you over. You glance at your mother.
“Hmph.”
<span class="mu-g">”Hmm? You disagree?”</span>
<span class="mu-b">”M-Mom...”</span>
“Well, I was just thinking she's got a bit of <span class="mu-i">growing</span> left to do.”
<span class="mu-b">”..What's that supposed to mean?”</span>
Now your mother is the one glancing at you. He furrows his brow.
“You know what it means, girl! I go away for three years and you look the same- You're FLAT! You look like a DAMN BOY!”
Something compels you to answer.
<span class="mu-b">”Oh yeah?! I have a gymnasts body- what's your excuse?! You've got TWO TAILS! You look like a DAMN MUTANT!”</span>
Shjomae gasps at what you just said- and you realize also that you were way too hot headed. You just snapped at and <span class="mu-i">insulted</span> the Supreme Ruler. Cijan looks shocked, as if he didn't expect that response in the slightest and is still processing what just happened. You realize, quickly, that you're about to be in a world of trouble. You start to think of how to apologize until Cijan speaks first.
