>>5876697You pull the rope in anger.
It’s not fair! You were only doing bloody duty as a soldier of Sarnor! All the fault of that imbecile of Sargeant Paarth and his need for glory – he ordered your small maniple of soldiers to follow a couple of retreating Dothraki he had spotted in the distance…except the Dothraki you ran after were but the scouts of a much larger group of Dothraki, who, after slaughtering most of your maniple, captured the rest.
You sigh…and think. Think...for as your old man often told you, a soldier has to use BOTH his head and his muscles.
First thing to do – you need to get a sense of “what” you got to work with – namely your fellow captives.
You look around and notice there are some other men and women tied to poles near you – most are Tall Men like you (recognizable by the dark skin and height), but you spot also a couple of Valyrians and even a man from Ib.

>“Pssh! Hey, you!”You call out to one of the men next to you
”Uh…?
You nod encouragingly, and speak to him and the slaves around him
>”Listen, I don’t know you, nor do you know me. But I am sure we all want to return home to our loved ones. If we remain here, we’re facing slavery at best, death at worst. How about you all stop moping around, and help me instead? I am 99% sure I can break these bloody ropes, and if I can get free, then I can free you all as well. We then can try and reach safety, be it together or splitting up!”Persuasion Check – Rolled 18 vs 7; 3 Degrees of Success!
You’ve spoken with such ferociousness, such vigor…that even the few simple words you’ve spoken have apparently woken the others from their torpor and resigned state, however temporarily. The slaves begin to talk among themselves, and they quickly decide the best way to help is to distract the guards. The two slaves farthest away from you begin singing drunkenly, annoying the guard and making him go check on them…giving you precious time.
