(whoops, forgot trip)
You look over at Delta to check his condition and...youch, he's not looking the best. You don't think any skin got affected but a good chunk of the uniform on his chest is translucent now, exposing the skin underneath it. "Y-yeah, uh, maybe you should rub some ash on that." You gesture at him.
He quickly nods and starts rubbing soot all over his outfit to prevent, ya know, the rest of him from being glassed. You decide it's probably best for you to do the same, even if it only buys you a few extra seconds before having to hide.
The two of you have to move quickly to get it to the containment cube. While it's still recovering from the POCKET ASH you gave it, the two of you move in to start shoving the thing over to where the containment cube is. Thankfully for you, Delta managed to move it close enough to make that task a lot easier.
WHYAREYOUDOINGTHIS Your ear leaks with something bright. Your eyes itch. The sooner you can free lock this thing up, the better. dontlistentoitdontlistentoitliveinthedark. You keep a keen eye to make sure it doesn't clear up before you got it inside of the cube.

Father Above, your head is burning. It feels like something is drilling directly into your skull. "U-uh? Gamma? You okay there? You're looking really, really pale." Delta mutters as the two of you finally push this thing over to the containment cube.
"We shouldNo, no, I'm going toFine. I'm fine. Just put this thing back where itin the cube now. Please." You have to be very careful with how you speak. Your tongue constantly twists in on itself, trying to say something else.
With a final heft and a shove, the two of you manage to knock this thing into the cube. The ash stuck inside of the core of whatever this anomaly is begins to clear up and such a lovely light begins to shinethe horrid light starts shining again. Delta quickly smashes the panel on the side of the cube, shutting the thing close.

You're exhausted, to be quite frank. "Woo. Okay, how many of these fuckers do we have to find? One more?" Delta nods at you, to your utter disgust. "Damn you, Father."
You pull out your radio and tune its frequency. Once the harsh static subsides, you hear Beta's gruff voice. "What is it this time, Gamma? Did you actually do your job?"
"Yeah. Yeah." You hiss out. "We're going to take a small break and we're going to harvest another one." You look over at Delta. He looks back at you and flashes a simple but well meaning smile. You take a deep breath in and let your widest smirk show.
"Today's going to be a lovely day."
