>>5380060>Ghost isn't an asshole who would do something like remove foxy unless we wanted him gone.Wanna address this with a time capsule moment of how I lost four of my most active players in GhostQuest, which came out in 2015 and was my first non-greentext Quest ever.
This was a few sessions in, and there was a roll that would determine if a very interesting enemy would check the room the Player was at, or ignore it. It was a 1d8, with 6 having the room investigated.
A 5 was rolled, and having been raised on the idea in tabletop that DM's are supposed to lie sometimes, anything to keep the game interesting and fun, I added +1 to the roll and there was a radical combat encounter.
Like an absolute idiot, between sessions I mentioned fudging this roll, and got crucified, and fairly so. I was informed privately by some of the most dedicated players they wouldn't participate any more because they were cheated.
From then on, I will not cheat a single roll. Period, regardless of how it turns out. I will be the asshole that will carry out what the dice say, no matter what. Whether Foxy is alive or dead is not on me.
