>>6131867Savis gestures for you to follow, and your party falls behind the Teladi entourage as they lead you deeper into the shipyard’s web of catwalks and tunnels. The air inside is tinged with the metallic scent of heated alloys and plasma welders, a constant hum of energy pulsing through the walls as power courses to every corner of the facility. Dull, red lights pulse along the edges of the walkways, illuminating the controlled chaos of the yard.
Within a handful of moments, the group arrives at a large viewport. It spans floor to ceiling, reinforced by crossbeams and lightly tinted to shield against the glare of welding torches and the harshest rays of the system’s sun. Beyond the transparisteel window lies the flagship of the fleet – a ship more imposing than anything the Alliance scavenged or scrounged, the sheer size of it stretching like the ribs of a sleeping giant against a tapestry of stars.
Its central hull takes shape in jagged, unfinished lines, with multiple sections still awaiting plating. But the design is clear: a powerful, knife-shaped profile reminiscent of any capital ship that fought in the Clone Wars. Construction droids and humanoid workers dart back and ofrth across the flamework, the sparks of cutters and welders casting flashes of blue and white as they tirelessly assemble each armored layer, each weapon mount, each bulkhead.
“There she issss,” Savi announces with pride, her slitted eyes widening as she stares out at the vessel. “The Frihet - designed as per the specifications of your admiral.”
The name is fitting – ‘freedom’, in the ancient tongue of the Ferroan people. The ship’s scale and evolving silhouette inspire a quiet awe as you take it in. Even from this distance, you can already make out the rows of weapon hardpoints along the hull’s flanks. And if you close your eyes, you can almost see them completely fitted, firing away at Tof ships-of-the-line.
