So much fire power was poured into the shielding of Particep Semper that it demonstrated the efficacy of static defenses. When one did not need to move their weapons or armor they were able to scale these same weapons up to degrees that might not even be seen on starships. The Void Shield, for example, was many times stronger than that found on a standard Cruiser due in part that it was likely three times larger than standard.
But in the end these fools underestimated the technological gap that they had against the Mechanicum. Records recovered from their Vox network showed that they had endured numerous sieges from Orks and the like, thus thinking that they could enforce their isolationist philosophy upon others who wished to conquer them.
They were fools thinking that the greatest forms of technology belonged to the Orks of all creatures. For all their Brutality and Cunning the Orks were by their very nature only technologically brilliant because of their evolution. What they made was always crude and never more robust than the standard guns that humanity could bear against them. Terrifying in numbers they may be, they never had the ability to concentrate so much power in one place.
That was the power of an Imperator Titan. Beyond all, it was the concentration of human ingenuity from across time and space to create a single fortress which walked. Even as the Shield Systems within Particep Semper finally failed the numerous guns of the enemy were near useless against the hull of the God Machine’s might.
Finally, after so much walking, Particep Semper arrived at the walls of the fortress-city. Paticep Semper brought one of its feet back, quickly slamming it against the walls which kept the Avatar from his place of vengeance. The impact of this attack was so great that any mortal man who stood upon the walls lost their lives in an instant. Rockcrete was shattered with rebar being turned into molten sludge from the sudden amounts of pressure exerted upon it.
Then the other foot came down.
The walls of the city were quickly shattered under the feet of this giant, crumbled into ruins across the floor. Like a swarm of locusts the Knights and their Armigers rushed the breach killing any mortal man and tank which had the gaul to survive their God’s fury and vengeance.
With entry gained TalOS too walked over the ruins. His feet were so large that the houses of small families were crushed without care for who was within it.
Now on the other side of the wall Particep Semper brought up his Plasma Annihilator while under the continuous fire of the enemy’s defenses. He took his moment to aim the large cannon, then fired.
