>>5349468You make it back to the warehouse in record time. While you’d laid out all the stuff you’d been keeping from the former Crux leader, it was something that he did need to know.
It’s pleasantly surprising to find that he’d been accepting of Eddie’s situation, as opposed to jumping the gun on someone that might possibly be a ‘mutant traitor.’
All the better, as everyone can now work together, and so your odds of succeeding on this mission will be ever-higher.
“So when do I get to meet this Ermac?” Now that he knows of Eddie’s existence, Valjean is interested in seeing the technopath in action.
“You will when we start planning,” You tell him. “Soon.”
“Here. Take the book then.” Valjean tosses Boleski’s journal-thing to you, which you swipe out of midair. “See you.” He gives a salute. Then he turns on his heel, presumably off to sleep.
That night went better-than-expected. You gained two allies, and Valjean wasn’t as big of a dick as you expected him to be over the Eddie-thing.
Matt and Bernard arrive back the following morning, their clamor and noise as they barrel into the house cruelly prying you from your sleep.
“Yo Ellie, where’s the coffee at?” Matt calls into the house. “I can still taste the gas station coffee and I need my fix of the good stuff, so get cracking!” He demands some real coffee.
“Ngghhh… shut up…” You groan. Not wanting to wake up just yet, you cover your face with one of the couch pillows. “...five more minutes…”
“Fish!” Bernard calls, just as loud-- if not louder-- than Matt. “We brought home some goodies!”
Ever the child at heart, regardless of what they might be, the mention of goodies immediately has you up on your feet.
