After that though make for the surface!Though the surface is inevitable for you, you're in no great hurry to get there. Not while you're perfectly happy to simply appreciate your freedom, and of course while you're still recovering from the nasty fight with the kraken.
So then you can take a few... days, as the land dwellers would call it, to yourself. Rest, recuperate, heal, continue to feast on the kraken, and appreciate the simplest yet most important joy you have; being one with the ocean. Whether it be relaxing in a brine pool or leisurely swimming nowhere in particular, simply living in the sea on a daily basis is rewarding to you.
Your only lament, that your goddess cannot appreciate the ocean the same way you can. For her it is a tormenting prison, for you it is your very nature.
Speaking of your goddess, something you become alarmingly aware of in the coming days is that... you cannot hear her. In the past, before your imprisonment it was always as simple as listening to the sea. At any distance you could hear her anguished choking cries in the water, and commune with her as needed. It's why in fact you were able to and did travel halfway around the world to Atlantis, while still carrying out her will.
Now though, listen as you might you haven't heard anything of her. There could be many reasons for this but it's hard not to fear for the worst. Some small solace in that you are not and never have been some slave to her will, thus are perfectly able to act independently as you please.
Though you won't let your worry control you, it is something that dwells ever at the back of your mind...
