>>5319579“I…apologize for losing my composure, Blair. Perhaps there…is some truth to what you say. Had this news reached my ears any other time or from any other person, I’d have thought them a mad fool. But after the siege…after seeing a real-life Dragon…perhaps such a thing as ‘Shapeshifters’ are not so out of the realm of possibility.”
>“I’m sorry, did you say Dragon?” That was news to you. Dimitri nods. “Yes. A Dragon. I know not where it came from, but just as the Knights of Seiros were being pushed to their last, a Dragon suddenly appeared. It fought off the Imperial Army, as well as the Demonic Beasts, single-handedly. It was the only reason myself and the other Blue Lions were able to escape. The chaos that it created within the Imperial lines was our only opening.”
>“A Dragon…fighting the Imperial Army…what happened to it?”“I don’t know. I believe that it was likely overrun. But such a thing has been unheard of in Fodlan. These are strange times we are living in…and I won’t discount anything that may give us a clearer understanding as to what is going on. After we make our way to Charon, I’ll be returning to the Kingdom’s capital, Fhirdiad. There, I will put in a request with the Royal Academy of Sorcery. I’ll have the Kingdom’s best scholars and mages working tirelessly to find the source of this shapeshifting magic, as well as the means to summon and control Demonic Beasts. With any luck, they may be able to find something.”
>“Thank you, my lord.” That’s a relief, at least he doesn’t seem to think you’re entirely crazy. After a day of hard riding, your group returns through the gates of Charon, and straight into the keep. As you enter the city, you notice men hard at work installing ballistas atop the outer walls. It looks as though your suggestion was taken to heart. You notice that there seems to be a general sense of nervousness wafting through the streets of Charon, a far cry from how you first found the city. Handing over the reigns to Beathan to one of the castle’s servants, your group is met by a Knight, who informs you all that several students from Garreg Mach have arrived in the city since you left.
“That must be the others!” Exclaims Dimitri. “Quickly, let’s go see them and make sure they’re okay.”
“My lord, perhaps we should check in with the Margrave first?” Dedue suggests.
Dimitri looks torn between his duty and his need to check in on his friends. He’s not the only one. You need to report back to the Margrave as well and collect your extra 1000 gold for completing the job. There’s also the need to explain to him your true identity, of which Sir Bertram will likely be soon making him aware.
>A): Check in with Margrave Charon first>B): Check in with the Blue Lions first
