You could always stick around and hide the bodies. The assholes followed you pretty far into the coalfield so it's not like anyone's going to stumble across you while you're burying them - unless some dumbass kids decide to explore the place on a cold afternoon in the middle of winter.
In the end, you decide that it's not worth the risk. No, you should get out of here before you're caught with the bodies. You'll need to wash off all of that blood and find some clothes too. Not only will your nudity raise a few eyebrows, but you'll freeze your ass off unless you find some way of keeping warm. The adrenaline is starting to loosen its grip on your senses and slowly but surely, you're beginning to feel the chill.
The gravel and rubble strewn across the mining site doesn't help either. Every step that you take painful, thanks to your bare feet. It's slow going and you only get a couple of hundred yards before you come to a stop. At the very least, you're out of sight of the bodies. If someone comes across them now, they won't catch you with them.
You need to decide where exactly you're going.
Your mom's house is the most obvious destination. Once you're out of the coalfield, it shouldn't take more than twenty minutes to walk there through the outskirts of town. That's the problem though, you'll almost definitely be spotted by someone.
Maybe you'll have a better chance at getting home if you wait until nightfall. It's only like an hour until sundown. If you can find a safe place to hide, you can stay there until it's dark enough for you to get home without being seen - hopefully.
Finally, there's always the woods that surround Eastchurch. No one will be able to find you there and you might even find a stream or something that you can wash yourself in. When it's really late, maybe then you can head home. The only problem is the wildlife - you've heard stories about bears in the woods. Maybe that's what killed those guys?
>Make a dash for home. It's risky but it's better than being caught in the same place as a bunch of dead bodies.
>Hide somewhere and wait for nightfall. You don't want to risk being seen running around naked and covered in blood.
>Go in the woods. No one will find you there, except for maybe a hungry bear if you're really unlucky.
