>>5745365>You nod. “I look forward to it.” You turn your attention towards Cormac. The First Blade of Sreng looks as alert as you’d seen him in days. Mercurius is at his side, his hand directly on the hilt. Though he says nothing, you can practically feel the waves of violence radiating off the man. Of all the allies you’ll be bringing with you to slay Odesse, he’s the one you’re most grateful will be at your side. Finally, you look towards your own men, who have assembled here with you as well.
“Blair! You look great.” Ashe says. While the Sniper is in his own Sreng getup, you find it looks far less ridiculous than your own. “I don’t think it’s ridiculous at all. It actually looks really nice.”
“You think they’ll let us keep these things?” Clay says as he begins admiring his own armor. “I kind of like it. It’s a lot more breathable than what I usually wear.”
“Focus, please.” Uriel says, clad in what passes for Sreng’s version of plate armor. “Try to contain your excitement, lest you blow our cover immediately.”
With the plan set and the orders distributed amongst the army, the time to move out is now. You and the others take your place at the front of the army, inching closer towards the Orthodox and Dukedom camp. As you draw near, the familiar sounds of battle assail you. You can more clearly make out the sounds of the enemy’s trebuchets firing upon the walls of Garreg Mach, and you even draw close enough to see a volley of arrows fired towards its defenders. After you reach a certain distance, you stop. A group of outriders stands directly in your path. Judging by their armor, you’re able to pin them down as cavaliers belonging to the Orthodox Church. They are likely scouts, sent to patrol the perimeter of the camp in the event of any outsiders wandering in. Most notably, you find that they don’t seem too surprised to find an entire army marching towards their backside. This puts you at just a bit of ease. They know that Sreng was to link up with them, and they likely believe you to still be their allies.
“Looks like they’ve been expecting us.” Clay mutters under his breath.
Leif withdraws a small white flag from the satchel attached to his horse. He looks towards you expectantly. “They’re waiting for one of us to go over there and introduce ourselves. It would hardly be fitting for Sreng’s own prince to do so on his own. Would you care to do the honors, Blair?”
>A): Accept the flag and introduce yourself to the Orthodox scouts.>B): Delegate the task to one of your subordinates (Who?)
