_Build a Monster_
The monster has X base traits. You must add 3 additional ones from the list below.
Traits can be [positive][negative][neutral]
Traits chosen will be replaced by one opposite (A positive trait will be replaced by a negative one, neutrals stay)
This list will drag over all monster encounters, so picking only positive ones will make next encounter harder.
Basic list would be 2 positive, 2 negative and 2 neutrals
Example traits:
[positive] Anemic ; receives 1 extra damage with each hit, vulnerable to poison damage
[positive] Fat : Reduce its movement speed, -2 to hit
[neutral] Cruel : Will make sure opponent is dead, will ignore other creatures meanwhile
[neutral] Sapient ; It has human like intelligence. Nor good or evil, just smart.
[negative] Armored ; Reduce incoming damage by 2
[negative] Enormous; +2 to Hp and +1 to Strength
Is this a good idea?
Will it just boil down to applying all bad traits to one thing and running away?
Is this just a pedantic mechanic that removes to much control of the DM?
Do I scrap this for a dungeon centric quest?
Should traits interact with eachother?
