“But they could, if they spent the time to get out and try.” your daughter counters, looking between you both confused. “Anyone can get stronger, even the strongest like Daddy and Lord Freeza can continue getting stronger an' stronger.”
“You only say that because you have been training for your entire life, surrounded by others who've done the same.” Raditz counters, your daughter turning to look at him as he continues. “For most of the universe, they don't live like we Saiyans do. Their worlds are planets without conflict, without the fighting that has shaped our warrior race into the strongest fighters in the universe. They lay around, doing nothing important with their lives and live vicariously through other beings they see on screens. They don't know what it is like to push themselves, to feel their muscles come alive as they push the limits of what their bodies are capable of. They don't even know what it is like to take a punch, much less fight.”

At this Caulifla has nothing to say, and from what you can see she's staring at him, slack jawed. This is probably her first time hearing how a lot of the 'civilized' universe lives. You've seen them before, even when stationed on Freeza Planet 79 early in your career you'd seen a lot of them. Those whose only goal was to do their menial jobs and spend the rest of their spare time idly, seeking pleasure in different things but not actually bettering themselves.

“But...Why?” she finally asks, looking from Raditz back to you in confusion. “Why? That sounds so.... boring.”
“I agree. I couldn't live like that.” you say, your daughter turning to you for guidance. “But how other people choose to live should never affect you. You should live your life how you see fit. But you have to keep one thing in mind.”
“What's that?” she asks, you taking this opportunity to drill the core of your father's teachings into her.

“More than ready!” she answers enthusiastically. “We're about ten minutes from the planet now.”
“Then I reckon I should get up, and start getting ready.” you reply to her, and using your telekinesis gently lift Caulifla up and off of your arm. But as you do she murmurs sleepily, eyes cracking open to see you. She blinks a couple of times, then her eyes shoot open wide. So before she can shout, you reach out, grabbing her and pulling her into a bear hug. She clutches herself to you, and starts whispering something over and over.

You can't quite make out what she's saying, but that's fine. You get out of the bed holding her with one arm, and with your free left hand quickly gather your uniform up. Your Soulstone had been inside the boot you'd worn down into the Abyss, but it looks like Meloka brought it back as well, the item resting on your shelf beside the door. Your hammer is there as well, leaned against the door frame. You'd forgotten all about it, but it looks like the strap itself had somehow survived the Abyss Dragon's fire. You grab onto all of your clothes, then with telekinesis grabbing your hammer and Soulstone and walking out the front door with your daughter still held in your arms. As the door shuts behind you with a hiss, she realizes that you've moved and looks up at you, confused.

“Huh? Wh-Where are you going?” she asks you, looking up curiously as you set her down, then start dressing yourself in the hallway. “Are we under attack again or somethin?”
“Your sister's fight is today, and I told her I'd come watch in person.” you reply, seeing her eyes widen. “And she just messaged me, and told her they were approaching the planet.”
“Oh, okay.” Caulifla says, seemingly uninterested in her sister's arena fighting. “Dr. White told me your spear helped you win your fight. I'm glad I could help you, even if I lost control and couldn't be there for the whole fight.”

As she says this you see her hang her head, sounding almost disappointed in herself. You can clearly tell she's beating herself up for not venturing down into the Abyss itself with you and helping out more.

But what do you do?
>Tell her it is alright, and that you wouldn't have wanted her to see what happened down there anyways
>Thank her for helping you as much as she did, and that you couldn't have done it without her help
>Tell her that its okay to be angry and upset at losing control of a new power, but now she has a clear goal to strive for and to work on mastering that power going forward

“When a patient sees their doctor worried, they become more worried and afraid.” he explains to you. “So we hide our true feelings behind a mask. Some look like me, but the kindest of us adopt a smile like your daughter. But such a smile is a burden as well. Smiling in the face of so much horror, pain, and death is difficult, and no doubt weighs heavy on her heart. And if you don't believe me, check the cameras. See how she is when she thinks she's alone. Fifty credits says she hasn't smiled by herself in a long time.”

You can't say anything, and looking down at your hands feel just...Overwhelmed. Chilli and Caulifla, two of your brightest, happiest children are suffering, and you feel powerless to help them. You've taken a good step with your son when you and he were alone in his house, but that's a long way from helping him with what he's going through. And you have no idea what to do with Caulifla. But then it hits you. Of COURSE you don't know what to do. You've never been in her situation before, and have no real idea what it is she's going through. But when you don't know something, you ask someone who does.

“What....What can I do?” you ask, raising your gaze back up to meet Dr. White's. “What-How can I help her? What should I do?”

At this Dr. White smiles, and pushes himself upright out of the chair. He walks over to you, and takes your much larger hand in both of his while looking up to meet your gaze.

Previously on Saiyan Conqueror Quest:

After a week of spending time with Towa and each of his half-demon children in her new lab, Karn and his family returned to their own timeline only for him to be awoken early in the morning by an uneasy feeling, confronting Silva Zoldyck's son Illumi before taking his kids fishing for breakfast. Where Tatsu and Tomi were attacked by Mindslayers, Karn vanquishing them before heading down into the Rak'kari's underwater city, and killing six more there before having breakfast with his family. Then Freeza arrived, the two heading to Raven's island just in time to see her vanquishing demons who'd claimed to be her siblings. Karn left her to it, returning to his family just in time for Tatsu to arrive with a final request. And as we rejoin Karn, you just fulfilled your old man's last request, and as you dropped back down to your family on the island below, you find your son Broly holding his sister Caulifla, and his body is absolutely scorched! What the hell happened down here?

“Broly?” you ask him, everyone turning towards you. No doubt they saw what happened, but why is Broly so badly burned, Caulifla crying in his arms? Wait, no, she didn't. Did she? “What the hell happened? What did I miss?”
“Huh?” Caulifla asks you, pulling a bit back from her brother and looking at him only to gasp in shock. She hadn't even realized what happened! “Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry, Triumph!”
“KIIIIIIIIII!!” her Stand caws as it materializes, and begins healing his heavily-scorched flesh.
“It's okay, I know what it's like to lose control.” he tells her with a smile, despite the clear pain he's still in. “I know you didn't mean it Cauli.”

“Mel, what happened?” you ask your wife telepathically. “What did she do?”
“I don't know how, but she burst into flames.” she answers, your brows furrowing in immediate worry. “I couldn't get near her, not with our son. Then Broly grabbed her, despite his flesh melting, and refused to let her go until she calmed down.”
“Dammit.” you reply, unsure how else to answer. You've seen her like that exactly once before, and her Stand's fires were hot enough to melt indestructible metal beings conjured by that teleporting green wizard who was after that medallion. If she lost control and unleashed it here, she could have killed everyone! But as you ponder this, suddenly you sense a familiar energy signature rapidly approaching you all.

“Woah! Look at Daddy!” your little sister Kayle shouts, you following her pointing finger up to see your dad facing down grandpa Tatsu, his emerald aura blazing wildly as he suddenly takes his fighting stance for some reason. “Are he an' Grandpa gonna train?”
“Karn....” you hear your mother, Meloka, say almost worriedly. Almost as if she knows something's about to go down. And then to your shock, Dad <span class="mu-i">charges</span> at Grandpa Tatsu!
“What is he doing?!” your younger sister Caulifla shouts, panic in her voice. “If they fight at full power, he'll kill him!”
“Worry, for your grandfather, you should not.” your Teacher says, you and everyone else all turning towards him in confusion. “Picked this battle, he has.”

“Wait, he challenged Dad?” Broly asks, looking just as lost as you feel. “Why?”
“First, this battle, we should watch.” the late Guardian's projected spirit says, returning his gaze to the sky as your grandpa stops his backwards spinning, and actually seemingly taunts your dad.
“Is that all you've got?” he shouts loud enough for you all to hear, continuing his backwards retreat while raising his right and only hand, firing a barrage of ki shots towards your dad. Your old man Karn charges through them, swatting the shots aside and quickly closing the distance. Then catches the kicked Death Slash with his Energy Body, shattering it then fires off a powerful punch to your grandfather's guts.

“Grandpa!” Caulifla shouts, immediately trying to launch herself into the air. But to your surprise, your mother gets between them, catching your younger sister and wrapping her in her arms. “Momma? What are you doing, I gotta help him! If they keep going, Daddy's gonna-!”
“If they keep going, Tatsu is gonna die.” your mother says, shocking you, Caulifla, and everyone. You look around, seeing even Guardian Raven's shocked face. In fact, the only ones who don't look surprised are your mom, and the former Guardian. Who notices your gaze, and meets it with a sad-seeming smile. You are Chilli, son of Karn, husband to Megumin and currently you are completely confused. Your grandfather would know that challenging your old man in this state, no matter how much he tries to hold back, would be near-certain death. So why is he doing this? Why is he....Wait. Hold on....Is he-Is he TRYING to die? You immediately snap the fingers of your left hand, summoning the ancient tome to your hand to connect with the very essence of Death itself.
