>>5802315When Alex's eyes open, he feels a part of his old self return, and it feels as if he can see the world clearly again for the first time in years. Finely toned instincts chiseled through years of experience resurface and kick back in, buried deep for a long time but not forgotten. With one glance he reads the battlefield, anticipates the enemy's moves, and plans the next several steps accordingly. "We'll rush them together, starting with the Aries, then the Dom. I'll cover you." Alex commands, and the friendly GM nods and begins their advance.
The three opponents greet you with gunfire as the duo approach, but the GMs' shields hold firm as they close the gap. The Aries is the first to enter their effective range of fire and peppers you with machinegun fire which bounce harmlessly off your shield while the GM Fortrestra wastes no time unloading vulcan fire out of every weaponized orifice it has. As Alex predicted, the Aries tries to bank right to escape the volley of vulcan fire chewing away at its HP and regroup once it realizes the new player won't be an easy kill. This gives Alex the perfect opening as he aims his targeting reticle at the large jet engines in the area's back flight unit. He fires each shot with precision and a degree of timed care, to avoid overheating the beam spray gun with too many shots at once. Every shot finds their mark with supreme ease, and Alex watches the Aries sputter in the air for a few moments before dropping like a fly.
"Woah, how'd you down him so fast!?" You hear Cassie ask in amazement. "Critical hits. Mellow told me earlier about how aiming for certain 'weak spots' can cause more damage with a critical hit. It also helps that it has the weakest defense, along with already being damaged." Alex answers as he continues his advance. Every shot had to matter, it was the only way to close the damage gap between him and a higher level gunpla with better HP and defense.
