>>5607313>>5608815Angela and Claire have each tracked down the same info separately. Hearing it from different sources, there's a chance this information actually true. The current location of the man they've been looking for. The one at the center of the web spun to tangle up the city. Spider.
If this intel is legit, it means an opportunity to take out the man responsible for all this, right here and now.
Late at night in the safehouse, lit up by some overhead lighting left over from when the building used to be a warehouse, Angela and Claire stand in front of the map stuck to the board with tape. "The southside docks," Claire says, tapping on South Harbor with a pen. "Word says he's hiding out in a boat at a marina. Guess he's ready to cut and run if things get too hot, speed off into the bay. If we just attack head on, that's exactly what he'll do."
Angela says, "I can get a good speedboat, stay ready. Cut off his escape. We send in the crew to the docks, make it serious enough for him to leave. He gets flushed out, takes off onto the water. That's when I come in."
"He might have some bodyguards still on board when he escapes. You sure you can handle it on your own?" Claire's concern is audible in her voice. She doesn't doubt Angela's abilities, just worried about her getting in over her head.
"Don't worry," Angela says with confidence. "I called in a friend, someone to watch my back. I'll be fine."
Claire looks relieved. "Okay, good. I worry about you sometimes, but if you've got somebody to cover you, I can go back to worrying about all the other violent maniacs, haha ..."
"Speaking of the crew," Angela says. "Their job will be to convince Spider to leave. Obviously, if they manage to gun him down themselves, so much the better, but we both know he's a paranoid motherfucker, and he'll probably be zooming out of there at the first sign it looks bad. We need the crew to waste a lot of guards to make it bad."
