>>5909556“YAAAAAAAAAAA!” Rocks screams as he tries to drive his Silver Greatlance into an undamaged weak point on the Titanus’ shin, only to miss when the machine raises its leg out of the way. It then clasps both of its hands together and slams them directly onto Rocks.
>Rocls: 39/69 HPFor a second, you think the great knight has been flattened dead into a pancake. But to your amazement, something begins to push back against the TItanus’ arms. Rocks and his horse are somehow still alive, having blocked the blow with his great shield.
“Ya…bastard…that…hurt!” Rocks screams with bloody rage, countering the Titanus’ attack with a thrust of his spear.
>Titanus: -1 HPSomething finally gives in the Titanus at the moment of Rocks’ attack. The creature buckles, its lights growing dimmer and dimmer before burning out. It falls onto its knees, seemingly inactive.
“Hey…I did it!” Rocks shouts in amazement. He raises his spear into the sky triumphantly, only for the lights on the Titanus to activate once more, blinking rapidly and with great fervor.
“Blaiiiiiiiiiiir!” Wedge’s shouts maniacally. “If I can’t win…then I’ll take you all with me!”
An energy greater than any you’ve felt before begins to well up within the Titanus. The temperature grows uncomfortable hot, and the grass around the machine begins to wither and burn. You feel that same unstable presence you felt earlier, and fear that Wedge intends to somehow destroy the Titanus, taking you all with it. Suddenly, a twinkle from above. Ingrid divebombs onto her target, Luin glowing with energy to match its foe’s.
“Enough!” Ingrid shouts. Luin impales the top of the Titanus’ head. The spear continues to travel down, cutting through the Agarthium easily, until it reaches the ground. Two halves of the Titanus split apart slowly, falling to the ground opposite of each other. The unstable energy you felt vanishes in an instant. All traces of life leave the machine, and the lights dim for the last time. There was no way it would ever get up again.
Silence descends upon the battlefield. Helped to your feet by your men, you limp over to the wreckage of the Titanus. The dust has hardly settled, but you wish to see things for yourself. As you draw closer to the debris, you see Wedge, lying there. Despite the large gaping wound running down his head, the stubborn mule is still alive. Was he truly even human? He rolls his head to look up at you with eyes that seem vacant.
“That you…Blair?” He coughs up blood, his breathing strained. He laughs with great pain. “Would of…got you…if it weren’t for that…coward… Hoff. In the end…I was the only one loyal...to him.”
Wedge is past the point where healing will do anything for him.
>A): Say nothing, finish him off.>B): Wish him well before mercy killing him.>C): Leave him there to die.
