You decide to look into the case about the Jester and his daughter. There isn't too much information on it, as the guardian of the previous story just sent in the request, probably after returning from the story. Shockingly, the Jester King comes from a family of Jesters. To the lineage's annoyance, one of his relatives married into a family of mimes. The information isn't clear, but it's believed the daughter ran away after a dispute between them on how she was being raised. The real reason you are interested in this mission though, is that it takes place in the fae world. Because you were just traveling through it before on the way to an assignment you didn't have a chance to see much. You write a message back to Kamiko, mentioning your choice.
She responds, "They want a half-fae, so I'll be coming, and I'm assuming you want to bring Tamako along. We should probably bring one more person along."
You ask it it'll be Hilde, since Zul is going to be out of commission for the day.
"I'm fine with that, but It doesn't have to be her. Most of the workers here are at least somewhat trained on field work, so we could ask if they are free today for a mission. Did you have anyone in particular?"
You say you've only really met a few other people here, namely Seshat and Emogen.
"Oh you know Emogen? She helps me order wine sometimes, even taught me a little cooking. Plus, her extra muscle might be nice. Seshat isn't usually that busy, so she might not mind coming." Kamiko writes. "I'll shoot them a message and see if either are interested.
You start to get ready for the day and as you get out of the shower another notification appears on screen.
It flashes "Upcoming Appointment", and then gives the time and directions to a lab for your curse breaking. Apparently they do it in the Research section and not Medical. You follow the directions laid out, and it leads you down some of the same futuristic hallways until you get to a "Lab #104". Unsure of what to do, you knock.
"Come in." A female voice says.
Though it isn't the Medical area, the room is half setup like one. There is an examination table, along with some IVs and other measuring devices to keep track of your vitals. Opposite of this is a workstation filled with tools. A woman is sittin gthere, reading a tablet. You assume is the one that answered your knock.
If she wasn't currently sitting on a chair, she'd probably be as tall as Kamiko. However, she isn't nearly as wide and appears much more spindly. Her most notable feature is her head, which almost appears like a playing card spade with a face on it. She is wearing a lab-coat, but below this you can see a metallic dress and rather shiny smooth skin. Se looks almost toy-like.
"Ah, I didn't realize you were going to be the human. Zul has mentioned much about you." the woman says, giving you a slow, appraising look. Spotting your ring she says, "Oh, married?"
