You could do a lot by disgracing your father’s name like that, not the least of which being completely free to act in any way you wish and gaining control of his assets, but… There was a decent chance that things could backfire on you, in a way you didn’t expect. After all, you didn’t know the nobles or the Central 46 personally, only through reputation, and so it was impossible for you to truly gauge and predict their reactions like you would want to do before making such a big play.
And besides… it was just a lot of effort, really - and for not too much gain. You’d be considered an adult once you graduated from the academy and became a shinigami anyway - and nothing was stopping you from revealing the truth later if you needed your father’s money, or simply killing him for it. You couldn’t really be bothered to do it, not now. It made more sense to not go for it, even if it meant you would remain under Seinaru’s thumb for at least a little longer. Your chance to remove his influence would come.
And so you found yourself finally at the gates of the Shin'ō academy, waiting to be enrolled. When asked your name, you smiled, closing your eyes to avoid whoever was looking seeing the emotion behind them as you answered. “Hokkyokusei Danketsu. Pleasure to meet you.”
