>>5657190Okay then, your suggestions assumed the players are stupid. You then accused me of saying that I didn't think my options were more complicated than for 14 year old. I never said that. I said I wasn't sure if you deliberately wanted to suggest treating the players like they were idiots or not.
The suggestions you made are so vague, that I have not the slightest fucking idea which of them would work. I can think of ways they all could be considered completely fucking stupid to pick. Also, all of them are so vague and sound like we're assuming that the enemy is like mentally a 10 year old or something. If I picked any of them, and all of my men were suddenly dead, I wouldn't be that surprised.
You are giving advice for a quest that you don't fully understand, because reading quests is hard and takes time. If you had the time and energy to read the quest, you would have seen this image and this post.
>>5648895If you had looked at that post and looked at that image, like any of the players would've... You would know exactly why exactly two options were given and exactly what would happen if you picked either of them. You could look at the dice rolled, and the outcomes, and figure out what the modifiers were too, if you somehow didn't know.
One unit of D8 Infantry, is being shot at by two different enemy units. We know the enemy is D8s, because the GM rolled 4 D8s. The next description and the color of the results tells us that the earlier rolls were Def rolls, and our lone unit was being attacked. Thus, we can figure out that the enemy apparently is equal to us in ATK power. The description of someone's head exploding and the fact the enemy bullets are burning mid-air is concerning as well. Now, presumably, we can count, so we know two against one is bad. We also can see on the image that the Militia in the back, gets minuses for trying to do attacks from so far away. The second set of dice rolls and following description are our limpy, not so good attempts to counter attack.
Based on this alone, we know that staying put is like a 25-33% chance of things going well or even trading of losses, and a 66-75% of our unit being massacred for no purpose.
